If you’re a Medicard Philippines member, you can use your HMO to book both online (teleconsult) and in-person appointments through NowServing by SeriousMD.

🔍 How do I know if a doctor accepts Medicard?
There are two easy ways to check:
1. Filter your search on NowServing
- Open the NowServing app
- Use the filters when searching for a doctor
- Select Medicard under HMO/health card options
This ensures you only see doctors who accept Medicard.
2. Search via the Medicard app
You may also browse doctors through the Medicard Go app.
📅 How to book an appointment using Medicard
🏥 For In-Person Appointments
- Open the NowServing app
- Search for your preferred doctor
- Tap Book Appointment
- Select Health Card / HMO as your payment method
- Choose Medicard
Your booking will be marked as Pending.
👉 Next step: Request a Letter of Authorization (LOA) from Medicard.
⚠️ Important:
You must bring your LOA to the clinic and present it to your doctor during your visit.
💻 For Online (Teleconsult) Appointments
Booking online with Medicard has an extra step:
- Call Medicard support to request an LOA
- Inform them that your consultation is for teleconsult / online appointment
- Wait for your LOA to be sent via email
Your LOA email will include:
- Your LOA document
- A One-Time Password (OTP)

4. Open NowServing and book your appointment
5. Enter your Member ID and MACE number

Keep your OTP code ready. Your doctor will ask for it during or after your consultation.

- Your LOA has an expiration date
- Make sure your appointment is scheduled within the validity period
- An expired LOA will not be accepted
