The NowServing Baby Book is available for children aged 0 to 18 who are patients of a pediatrician on NowServing.
You will not see a Baby Book if the profile is 19 or older, or if that child is not yet a patient of a pediatrician on NowServing.
Your child's Baby Book appears on its own once your child is a patient of a pediatrician on NowServing. There are two ways that happens:
Your child's pediatrician accepts your booking.
Your child's doctor sends you an invite code by SMS and you enter it in the app. Here is how to use an invite code. No booking is needed for this one.
You do not need to switch anything on, and there is no waiting list.
Check these in order
Is your child added as a profile under your account?
Is that profile 18 years old or younger?
Have you booked a pediatrician on NowServing for that child?
Has the pediatrician accepted the booking yet? If the booking is still waiting, here is what to do.
If your doctor sent you an invite code instead, have you entered it? Here is how.
Is your app up to date?
If all of those are true and the Baby Book is still not there, message us from inside the app with your child's profile name and we will look at your account.
I can see one child but not the other
Each child gets their own Baby Book, and each one needs to be a patient of a pediatrician on NowServing in their own right. A brother or sister who has not seen a pediatrician on NowServing yet will not have one.
I see the same child twice
If your child has seen more than one pediatrician on NowServing, you may see a separate profile for each of them, with the same name. They are separate records and they do not merge. Check which one you are in before you add an entry.
Who can see my child's Baby Book?
You can, and so can the pediatricians on NowServing who have your child as a patient. If your child has seen more than one pediatrician, each of them sees their own record.
Can I use the Baby Book for a premature baby?
Not yet. The growth charts do not have a setting for babies born early, so the percentiles will read low for a premature baby. Please read them with your pediatrician rather than on their own.
Is this an official record?
It is a convenient copy for you, not an official document. What you can share carries vaccine names and dates only, without lot numbers or signatures, so please keep the records your clinic gives you.
